The Documentary
The main purpose of this project is to create a documentary exploring the glacier loss and climate change in the region through the eyes of one of the mountain guides who work in the mountain range.
PRODUCTION PHASE / Scientific Exploration Society
In 2025 we received funding from the Scientific Exploration Society to make the production phase of the project possible.
In Jan 2026 we will set off to conduct the filming, travelling extensively throughout Uganda interviewing mountain guides, scientific experts and activists. Key to this film will be that the only voices heard are Ugandan ones.
POST PRODUCTION PHASE / TBC
The Post production phase is where the film is crafted from a hard drive worth of footage into a tightly honed narrative.
This phase will involve editing, sound design, colouring and score composition.
We don’t yet have a funding partner for this phase so if your company’s values align with those of sustainability, climate change mitigation and local community empowerment, download the pitch deck here

DISTRIBUTION
Our aim is that the final film will be distributed through a series of channels. Firstly, through relevant outdoor, mountain and environmental film festivals, along with other privately organised screenings. If other opportunities for streaming come up e.g. BBC, Amazon Prime etc then we will explore these but ultimately, the film will finally be hosted on this website.
PARTNER WITH US
Our film, addressing a critical climate issue, already supported by the Scientific Exploration Society, has the potential to receive significant exposure worldwide. Yet, we can only do that with support.
Your financial support will build a team to amplify the voices of those seldom heard, telling the story of their changing landscape, in their own words.
